1LocalMarketing was founded by Alex Makarski who has been working with small business owners and entrepreneurs since 2004.

In 2009, Alex has conducted a series of workshops for small business owners on how to get more referrals at the Canadian Institute of Management. Since then, that workshop has traveled to Montreal, QC, London, ON, Austin, TX and Chicago, IL.
